We started the neo Naturists in 1980, Christine was a life model, I was a painter, it seemed like a quite normal thing for me to paint her body. The first thing we noticed was how shocked people were when we took nudity out of the life room . Particularly confusing as this was Soho in the early 80s and images of naked women were all around us.
Then we realised people were not just shocked that we were showing our bodies, they were shocked that our bodies didn't conform with the perfectionised images they were used to seeing from Page three of the Sun to page three of Vogue
We started out on a mission to change all that......
I could write a book about this - infact I have written a book about it!!!!!
