Iarrive at St. Martins Art College in Soho at the moment when the austerity of punk is replaced by the decadence of the Blitz Kids. I paint in my studio by day and go straight out to parties and nightclubs in outfits bought for peanuts at the Charles Fox theatrical costume liquidation sale. then I set up the Neo Naturists and stop drtessing at all, arriving at events in body paint  When the club life gets claustrophic I hitch hike to Rome, Scotland, Icleand or Lappland with my friend Mo Tomaney. We don't wear jeans or sensible shoes, we hit the road dressed as Wallace Simpson and Marie Antoinette. Eventually when my life descends into chaos after the neo Naturist love triangle, I feel the need to get away further than I can relying on my thumb and the kindness of strangers. I run away to Mexico and spent a year traveling and painting in my bedroom in the Posada Margarita in Oaxaca......
